Billy Ray Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus exploded to the top of the charts with his debut single "Achy Breaky Heart" in 1992. Twelve years later, he continues to make music that touches the heart.

Busy Man:
The Other Side, Billy Ray Cyrus' latest album of gospel songs, includes the successful single "Always Sixteen" and the just-released "Face of God" - not to mention a widely-praised version of "Amazing Grace." The Other Side is Billy Ray's 13th album (aside from 11 studio albums, the Flatwoods, Kentucky native has also released Best Of Billy Ray Cyrus Cover To Cover AND 20th Century Masters: Billy Ray Cyrus and was included on the Dancin' with Thunder compilation CD).
When he was not in the studio, for four season, he played a Doc on TV. That's Dr. Clint Cassidy on the PAX-TV's highest rated show, which has now ended. (Doc was also named the highest rated family show, in general.) Billy Ray has made guest appearances on other TV shows ("The Nanny" in 1995 and "Murder Diagnosis" in 1997, both playing himself) as well as movie roles in Death and Texas (2003), Mulholland Drive (2001), Radical Jack (2001), and Wish You Were Dead (2000). He has begun working on his new album, which will be released soon.
Last, but never least, Billy Ray always makes sure he takes time out for family matters; he and wife Leticia ("Tish") have six children. In fact, he has just scored a part in an upcoming show called "Hannah Montana," in which he gets to work with his daughter Destiny Hope "Miley" Cyrus - she plays the lead!

Hey Everybody!
It's a great day! I definitely feel a lot better than I did this time last week! And a lot of that is because of you! I think we all know that you guys are the big reason that I'm still on this crazy show. As you could tell, by this Monday and Tuesday nights I definitely took a lot of your advice....big smile, better hair, and I'm "trying" to have more fun with it...but that's a little hard when you're scared out of your mind! Thanks so much for collaborating with me to keep this old "bear in the swamp" on for one more week. Love you guys and keep those prayers coming....BR
